This is the genuine Eureka Cyclone Shroud for AS2000 Series bagless upright vacuums (Part #090189-769N, supersedes old part #090189-586N). The shroud is the fine-mesh screen that wraps the cyclone, blocking lint, hair, and larger debris from reaching the filter while allowing air to pass through.
A torn, clogged, or missing shroud lets debris bypass the cyclone and load up the filter quickly, which chokes airflow and reduces suction. Fitting a fresh shroud keeps the AS2000 bagless system separating dirt efficiently and extends the life of the post-cyclone filter.
