The brush roll is the spinning bristle bar inside the power head that beats embedded dirt, pet hair, and grit out of carpet fibers so the vacuum can pull it away. When bristles flatten or the roll stops turning evenly, deep-down cleaning suffers — a fresh agitator fixes it.

    This version is fitted with the larger-diameter pulley, which matches the belt drive used on Eureka power nozzles that call for that pulley size. Using the correct pulley is important: it sets proper belt tension and brush rotation speed for effective carpet grooming.
