Where most vacuum bags are paper, this one is synthetic media, and it comes fitted with its own collar that seats onto the machine's dock without any hand-fitting. On a corded machine the choice of media matters less, but on a battery upright it changes how long a charge actually lasts: paper closes off as dust accumulates, forcing the motor to fight a shrinking opening, and every bit of that fight comes straight out of the runtime.
