The lower cord hook for the Bernina 6100, in black, Evolution part 01-6404-02. It is the bottom anchor of the cord wrap and takes most of the tension, which is why it tends to be the one that goes.
The failure is obvious once it happens. The bottom of the wrap has nothing holding it, so the coil sags, slides off, and the cord is on the floor before you have finished putting the machine away. The usual workaround is draping the cord over the handle instead, which kinks it and shortens its life.
Fitting a new hook restores a proper wrap. If the upper hook is the same age and has gone brittle, do both together, otherwise it is the same job twice.
