Dark blue is the trim color here. Part 5008DB is the catch that latches the exhaust filter cover shut on the SEBO AUTOMATIC X1 and AUTOMATIC X2, and SEBO molds it in three finishes so a repair can be matched to the rest of the machine rather than announcing itself.
Latches fail from use rather than age. Every exhaust service flexes the same tab, and one day it chips, splays, or simply stops gripping. After that the cover rattles against the housing while the motor runs, stands proud at one corner, or drops off in the middle of a room and gets stepped on. Because the catch is what clamps the filter into its housing, a slack one also lets a little exhaust air slide around the edge of the media instead of passing through it. The replacement clips into place by hand and the cover stays where it belongs.

The panel this catch holds down is exhaust filter cover 5007GS, and the media underneath it is exhaust filter 5143. On the intake side of the same two uprights, filter safety catch 5208 secures the pre-motor filter, which is stocked as microfilter 5036AM, anti-odor microfilter 5425AM or HEPA microfilter 5812ER. Filter bags for these machines are boxed as 5093AM, and service box 5828AM or HEPA service box 5827AM gathers bags and filters into one order.
