This is Powr-Flite's female quick-disconnect terminal, listed in blue for .250 in. male tabs. This connector snaps onto a switch tab, a motor lead, a thermal cutout, or any other wiring tab, and pulls free again by hand, so a technician can service a machine without cutting and re-splicing every wire inside it.

Repeated removal and reseating eventually tires out a terminal's spring grip, and a tab that has gone warm under load is the result. One that looks discolored, has blackened, or sits loose on the tab is better cut away and replaced fresh than pressed back into service. Replacing it during a repair is usually cheaper in time than chasing an intermittent fault that only shows up once the machine is back in service and under a real load.

Crimp the wire into the barrel with a tool sized to the terminal, not pliers, and give the finished joint a firm tug before closing the machine back up. A terminal that was crimped loose fails the same way a worn one does, just sooner.
