Filter top cap assembly for the Simplicity S65 cordless wand vacuum, part C240-0200. The cap closes over the filter at the top of the dust cup and holds it square, so air has to travel through the media rather than slipping past its edge.
Caps live a hard life because they come off every time the cup is emptied. Tabs snap, the cap stops sitting flat, and fine dust starts escaping at the seam instead of staying in the cup. This assembly puts the original closure back on the machine.
