Black height adjust clamp for full-size power nozzles (FSPN), part number B350-6214. The clamp is the mechanical piece that locks the height adjustment where the operator sets it, holding the nozzle at a fixed distance from the floor while the brush roll runs.
When a clamp wears or breaks, the setting creeps under load. The nozzle sinks into deep pile and bogs down, or rides high and skims over the carpet without agitating it. Replacing the clamp is what makes the adjuster hold its position again.
