Product details

The cogged drive belt for Bosch's Jet-line uprights, the Cyclone Jet BUC11700UC and the Turbo Jet BUH11700UC, supplied one per pack as part 417924. It also carries the numbers 1049981, AH3462028, EA3462028 and PS3462028.

A cogged belt does not slip the way a flat belt does; it either drives or it does not. The teeth engage the pulley positively, so the brush roll holds full speed even in deep pile. When it fails, teeth shear off in a strip and the roller stops dead while the motor carries on, often with a rhythmic knocking as the damaged section comes round.

Look at the belt first if pickup has collapsed on carpet while the hose still has full suction. Turn the roller by hand and clear any hair from its ends before fitting the new one, since that binding is usually what stripped the old belt.
