SEBO Handle Release Button ...

Product details
Nothing else on an upright gets pressed as often as the handle release, and nothing else is as visible when it breaks, because it sits at eye level on the grip. Part 7082VO covers that button in orange for the SEBO FELIX Premium, matching the shade used on Fun-trim bodies.
Its mechanical role is to free the handle latch so the machine can lie back far enough to work under furniture. Wear arrives in stages, each easy to recognise once you know what to expect. First the button wants a firmer press than it used to. Then it needs to be pressed and held in a particular spot. Then it stops tripping the latch at all, and the face splits under the extra force being applied to it. A new button restores both the appearance of the handle and the definite click of a release that works first time.
Sheet reference: SEBO's FELIX exploded diagram places the handle release button at item 25, drawing it there in the black, dark red and dark blue finishes; 7082VO is that same component supplied in orange. If the rest of a Fun-trim machine is showing its age, the parts SEBO lists for that colourway include the orange filter cover 7091VO and the gray black filter clamp 7017GS, with the gray black hose duct 7090GS covering the same bodies.
