Part B333-2200B is the handle to body wiring harness for Riccar and Simplicity uprights, supplied as UL approved wiring. A harness of this kind runs the power and control wiring from the body of the machine up into the handle, so it has to cross the joint the two halves pivot on.

Wiring that crosses a moving joint is worked every time a machine is used, and a broken conductor inside it produces faults that look far worse than they are: a machine that drops out as soon as the handle shifts position, or controls in the handle that stop answering at all. Before condemning a motor or a switch, a harness is the cheaper thing to rule out.
