This Hayden inlet valve trim, part 791600W, is the white finish cover that sits over the rough-in bracket at a central vacuum wall inlet.
Once drywall goes up, the rough-in bracket behind the wall is just an opening in the plaster. The trim is what turns that opening into a finished connection point, and it is also the piece you touch every time you plug in the hose to start cleaning. A cracked or yellowed trim looks dated next to the wall plates around it even when the inlet underneath still works fine. Because the trim is only cosmetic, replacing it does not disturb the valve mechanism or the wiring behind the wall.
