The Hayden round-door inlet valve in almond, part 791500ANL, is the wall connection point where a central vacuum hose plugs into the system. A 1-1/4 inch plastic round door swings open for the hose cuff and sits flush against the wall once the hose comes out.
Inlet valves take a beating: doors crack, hinge pins snap, and the seal behind the plate stops holding. Because every inlet is part of the same closed circuit, one valve that no longer seals bleeds suction at every other opening in the house. If you can hear air hissing at a closed inlet, the valve is the fix.
This is a universal round-door format used across central vacuum installations, and the almond finish suits off-white walls where a bright white plate would stand out. Hayden also produces the same valve in ivory/white.
