Returns & Exchanges

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Part 528H is a slip-over PVC pipe cutter for the tubing used in central vacuum runs, and MD lists it in its own installation tool line as a Hayden-built cutter. A slip-over cutter works differently than a scissor-style one: the body of the tool slides over the tubing and then spins around it, scoring and cutting as it rotates.

MD's own instruction for it is short. Mark the cutting spot first, then slip the cutter over the pipe and spin to cut. Because the tool encircles the pipe instead of closing across it, it reaches mid-run cuts and tight bays near framing where a scissor jaw has no room to open around the line.
