The Hide-A-Hose 6000 Pro External Mounting Box (Part #HS600050W) lets you surface-mount a Hide-A-Hose 6000 Pro inlet valve onto any wall without cutting into it. This white box is built for the 6000 Pro retractable-hose central vacuum system.

Standard in-wall installations do not need this box, but many garages, workshops, and commercial spaces have no open cavity to run the valve into. Adding an inlet there would mean opening the wall, which is rarely practical. The external box gives the valve a solid mounting point on the wall face instead, so you can place a retractable hose exactly where you need one.
