Restore brushroll drive to your Hoover 817x bagless upright with this agitator motor (Part #93001746). On these upright power teams (UPT), the agitator motor is a dedicated motor that spins the brushroll, agitating carpet fibers to loosen and lift embedded dirt independently of the main suction motor.

  • Fits: Hoover 817x series bagless upright
  • Type: agitator (brushroll drive) motor for UPT models
  • Function: powers brushroll rotation for carpet agitation

When the brushroll stops spinning or turns weakly, the vacuum can still pull air but no longer grooms the carpet, leaving deep soil behind. Replacing the agitator motor (SKU: 93001746) brings back full brush rotation and cleaning effectiveness. Please note this part is being discontinued and is available only while existing inventory lasts (NLA after stock is depleted), so it is worth securing for any 817x machine still in service.
