Part 11041105 is the air inlet seal for Hoover uprights, the gasket that closes the joint where the nozzle's air path meets the rest of the machine. It fits the U5194900, U5198900, U5199900, U5780900 and U5781900, along with the UH70035B, UH70040, UH70085 and UH70086.

Seals harden, flatten and tear. When this one goes, air is drawn in at the joint instead of through the nozzle, and the effect on cleaning is out of all proportion to the size of the part: the vacuum sounds as strong as ever but stops lifting dirt out of carpet, and fine dust settles inside the housing around the leak.

Wipe both mating surfaces clean before seating the new seal so it beds evenly. Check your Hoover's full model number against the list above, because the suffix matters.
