Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

This flat drive belt fits Dirt Devil and Hoover upright vacuums together, sold as a 2-pack, part 38528040.
It fits the Dirt Devil UD70065, along with the UD70090 and UD70095, and a long list of Hoover uprights spanning the EmPower, Fold Away, Elite, Legacy and Dimension lines: models such as the U4681, U4245, U4455, U4507, U4601900, U4645930, U5014900, U5134900 and U5182900, plus the C1404, C1498 and C1660, among many more sharing this belt across model years.
Replace both belts in the pack together rather than saving the second for later. A belt that has sat on a shelf for a year or two loses elasticity nearly the same as one that has been running, so a matched pair from a fresh pack outperforms one new belt paired with an old one. Watch for a brush roll that spins slower than the motor sounds, or streaks left behind on a pass that used to come up clean.
Checking the model tag on your machine's base plate is a more reliable way to confirm fit than judging by looks alone, given how many Hoover and Dirt Devil uprights share this belt across different model years. Two uprights that look nearly identical from the outside can call for different belt widths, so confirm the model number before ordering rather than matching by eye.
