Made for the Hoover Elite and related uprights, this replacement flat belt drives the brush roll from the motor shaft. It keeps the brush agitating carpet fibers on every pass.

A worn or broken belt lets the brush roll slow or stop, so debris stays in the carpet and cleaning suffers. A fresh belt at correct tension returns the brush roll to full speed. A single belt covers the whole Elite family listed here, so one part fits several machines.
