The gulper is the wide floor tool that does most of the work on a backpack vacuum, and part 2KE0640600 is the 1.5 inch (32 mm) version for the Royal RY4000 Backpack Cleaning System. The same tool fits the Hoover C2401 and C2401010 Shoulder Vac Pro backpacks.
Floor tools crack at the neck where the wand loads them, and the leading edge wears flat from being dragged across carpet all shift. A tool that no longer seals against the floor bleeds air at the mouth, and the machine feels weak even though the motor is doing everything right.
Because this is the correct tool for these wands, it locks on without the play that costs suction at the joint. Crews running backpacks daily tend to keep a spare on the cart, since this is the part most likely to break mid-shift.
