Product details
Part 93001717 is the female half of an internal electrical connector pair used across the Hoover Fusion and related bagless uprights. It receives the male connector's pins and completes the circuit that feeds power onward through the machine.
The socket side of a connector like this corrodes or loosens with less obvious symptoms than a broken wire, since the housing usually still looks intact. What you notice instead is a circuit that is not fully reliable: the vacuum's power flickers as the machine moves or vibrates, or power drops for a moment and comes back with no pattern you can pin down. Reseating the old connector sometimes helps briefly, which is itself a sign the contact surface inside has worn thin. Connectors inside an upright also live with constant vibration, and every pass across a floor flexes the harness slightly at each junction. Years of that small movement gradually work the contact surfaces loose, which is why an internal connector can fail while the wire on either side of it stays perfectly sound.
Fitting a new female connector restores a firm mechanical grip on the mating pins, so the circuit stays closed instead of making and breaking contact under normal use.
- Part: 93001717, female electrical connector
- Function: receives the mating male connector to complete the wiring circuit
- Fits: Hoover U5180900, U5180910, U5182900, U5183900, U5185900, U5194900, U5198900, U5199900, U5780900, U5781900, UH70005B, UH70035B, UH70040, UH70060, UH70070, UH70085, UH70086
- Symptom it fixes: intermittent power loss that comes and goes with movement or vibration
Replace both halves of the connector pair together when one side shows heat discoloration, since a worn male pin will wear a fresh socket the same way.
