This genuine OEM Hoover grommet (part #440004379) fits the UH30010COM and seals the nozzle area where the power cord passes through. The small rubber grommet protects the cord and closes the opening against dust and abrasion.

A cracked, hardened, or missing grommet leaves the cord unprotected where it enters the housing and can let air and debris bypass the intended path. Over time an unprotected cord chafes against the housing edge. Fitting the correct grommet restores a clean, protected pass-through.
