Product details

Hoover's nozzle guard is the bottom-plate guard that runs across the front of the cleaning nozzle, part 001251015. It fits the S3865 Cyclonic, the SH40050 and SH40055 WindTunnel Multi Cyclonic canisters, and the Royal SR30020 Lexon S20.

It is the part that meets the floor, so it takes the scrapes. A guard that has cracked or warped stops holding the nozzle flat, and the machine starts picking up unevenly: fine down the middle, poor at the edges, with the occasional bit of debris flicked out ahead of the head instead of drawn in.

Replacing it restores the flat, sealed mouth the nozzle needs. It comes off with the bottom plate, which makes it a good moment to clear hair from the brush roll and look at the belt.
