Product details

The pivot cover caps the joint where the handle meets the body, and the seal behind it keeps that joint closed against air and grit. This is the clear version, Hoover part 000511004, for the S3865 Cyclonic and the SH40050 and SH40055 WindTunnel canisters, and for the Royal SR30020.

Covers crack because that joint takes the strain every time the machine is reclined or dragged past a door frame. Once the cover splits or the seal hardens, the pivot leaks air, so you lose a little suction and gain a rattle, and the exposed joint starts collecting the dust it was meant to be shielded from.

Fit the cover and the seal together. A new cover on a flattened seal will not close the joint properly. Check your model number on the data plate before ordering.
