Hoover Porta Power Motor As...

Product details

This is the motor assembly, part 59135400, for the Hoover CH30000 Porta Power canister. It fits only the units built in the USA, the MFG "A" series, so check the manufacturing code on your machine before ordering.

A Porta Power lives in the back of a van or on a janitor's cart and gets used hard, and the motor is usually what ends its working life. The signs are familiar: suction that has fallen away with a clean filter and clear hose, a rising howl or grinding as the bearings go, and the sharp hot smell of a burning armature. None of those improve on their own.

The motor may also fit the C2094, which normally takes a different motor, but modification is required, so treat it as a conversion rather than a drop-in there. Unplug the machine before starting, and leave this one to someone comfortable with mains wiring.
