This OEM Hoover slide with spring fits the Hoover C1627 cloth bag assembly and models C1123, C1431, C1431010, C1631, C1632, and CH50000, plus Royal CR50075. The slide lets the cloth bag engage and release while the spring keeps it under steady tension.
A tired or broken spring lets the bag drift loose during use, breaking the seal at the mount and letting dust slip out. A fresh slide-and-spring assembly holds the bag firmly seated and releases it cleanly when it is time to empty.
