Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

This solution tank cap works on the solution bottle of Hoover's SmartWash PowerScrub XL machines and is stocked as part 440015241.
Hoover uses more than one cap across the FH68 range, so match it to your model rather than assuming. This one covers the FH68002, FH68002V, FH68020, FH68020V, FH68040VCD, FH68040VDI, FH68050 and FH68060.
What sends people looking for it is usually a spray fault rather than an obvious leak. A cap with a tired gasket lets air into the tank, so the pump delivers unevenly, strong at first and then thin, and solution weeps around the neck onto the carpet when the machine is tilted. Hand-tighten a new one fully at each fill and keep the sealing face clean, and delivery stays consistent to the bottom of the tank.
