This 1-1/2 inch hose assembly, part 101705, is the replacement hose for the ProTeam TailVac and the Super HalfVac Pro 6 quart hip-style vacuum. It comes complete with its cuffs, so it goes straight onto the machine and the wand.
Hip-style machines drag their hose along the floor behind them all day, and the hose wears from the outside in. Listen for a dull crackling as you flex it, feel for air weeping at the machine cuff, and look for a spot where the reinforcing coil has pulled away from the wall. Any of those shows up at the tool as suction that simply is not there, and it is easy to blame the motor for a leak the hose is causing.
Check the hose along its full length with the machine running before condemning anything more expensive.
