This replacement hose assembly, part 914762, ends in the standard 1-1/4 inch tip that Henry canister tools and wands are built to fit.

Wear on a hose worked this hard concentrates wherever it is bent most sharply, and at the ends, where the cuffs take the twisting every time the hose is dragged around a corner. A pinhole at either place is easy to miss by eye, but it costs suction everywhere downstream of the leak. What you notice instead is strong motor noise paired with weak pickup at the floor, or a faint whistle from the hose when it is flexed by hand.
