SEBO Internal Cable for DAR...

Product details

Handle design, not model year, decides which internal lead a SEBO DART needs. Part 7070 is the internal cable specified for DART uprights built with the fixed, non-adjusting handle, where the wiring run inside the tube stays one constant length instead of extending and retracting with an adjustable grip.

The cable carries mains current from the body of the machine up to the switch in the handle, so it lives inside the tube and flexes in the same two or three places every time the vacuum is used. Failure is quiet rather than dramatic. Strands break one at a time where the conductor enters a terminal, or a crimp works loose and begins arcing under the insulation. What an owner notices is a machine that cuts out when the handle is moved, comes back when it is nudged, then behaves perfectly for a fortnight. None of that is visible from outside, which is why a new cable is the sensible repair rather than a hunt for damage sealed inside the sheath.

SEBO's DART exploded diagram draws the machine's internal wiring ET at item 2, supplied as part 7064, and 7070 is the cable listed for the non-adjusting handle build. The rest of that group on the same sheet gives you the neighbouring numbers worth checking while the tube is open: the tube plug 7076GS at item 27, the complete handle 7164WE at item 28, the sliding button 7035GS at item 30, the switch frame 7178WE at item 31, the two-pole rocker switch 05138 at item 32 and the protection film 7142 at item 39. If the tube itself is bent, the DART takes the 660 mm fixed handle tube, part 7080ER.

  • Fitment: SEBO DART uprights with the non-adjusting handle
  • Part number: 7070, internal cable
  • Job: carries current between the machine body and the handle switch
  • Replace when: power is intermittent, the vacuum cuts out as the handle moves, or a terminal shows heat discolouration
  • Related part numbers: 7064 internal wiring ET, 7080ER handle tube, 05138 rocker switch, 7142 protection film

Pull the plug from the wall and identify which handle style you have before you order, because adjusting-handle machines run a different lead. This is a genuine SEBO DART internal cable replacement supplied by an authorized SEBO dealer, dispatched in 2-5 business days.
