Product details
This is the Kenmore bare floor tool, part KC83QEEXZV06. It measures roughly 8.5 inches across and has the D-shaped button hole in the neck where the wand snaps in, so it seats exactly the way the original did.
It is the tool for hardwood, tile and vinyl, where the bristle row does the sweeping and suction carries the dust away. Kenmore lists it for the 81214 and 81414, the BC3002, BC3005 and BC3060 RPL, the BC4002, BC4040 and BC7005, and for the 125.81214610 and 125.81414610.
Replace it when the bristles have worn short enough that the plastic sole touches the floor, when the tool skids rather than glides, or when the neck cracks around the button hole and the wand no longer locks in place. A cracked neck also bleeds air, so pickup at the floor drops noticeably well before the tool actually falls off.
