The upper extension wand is the section of your Kenmore canister's tube set that clicks between the hose handle and the lower wand — and it takes plenty of abuse from twisting, floor bumps, and years of latch cycles. When the locking button wears out or the tube cracks, the wand set starts separating mid-clean or leaking suction at the joint. This replacement upper wand unit restores a tight, locked connection so full airflow reaches the floor nozzle again. Part #8192064.
