This genuine OEM Kenmore cord reel assembly (Part #591004128) fits the Kenmore 125.81615910 and 81614 canister vacuums. The complete assembly includes the retractable cord and the spring-loaded rewind mechanism that pulls the cord back into the body.
When a cord will not retract, only partly retracts, or the cord itself is frayed, the reel or its spring has usually failed and should be replaced for safety. Installing the full assembly restores clean, automatic rewind and a sound power cord.
