This is the tool storage cover, part 591004104, for the Kenmore 125.81615910 canister vacuum, a machine also badged KC74PEEKZP. It is the molded lid over the onboard tool compartment on the body of the canister.
The lid is thin plastic on a small hinge, and it lives on top of a machine that gets dragged, tipped and knocked into door frames. Once the hinge tabs break or the latch lets go, the attachments it holds fall out mid-clean and the open recess fills with the dust you are trying to remove. Cracks also tend to run on into the surrounding panel, so a broken lid is worth replacing before the body follows it.
It fits the Kenmore 125.81615910 and 81614. Check the model number on the underside of your canister against those before ordering.
