Attachment swivel tube for Kirby uprights, part 223314, covering machines from the Generation 4 through the Sentria II. It is the short rotating section between the hose and the tools, letting a wand turn in your hand without winding the hose up behind it.
The swivel is a wear joint by design. Over the years the bearing surfaces polish down and the fit goes slack, which lets air in at the seam - the tool loses grip while the motor sounds no different at all - and a cracked tube will drop an attachment on the floor part way through a job.
Alongside that Generation 4 to Sentria II range, our fitment data also lists it for the Avalir, Avalir 2 and Avalir Platinum. Check the badge on your machine before ordering, since the fittings changed more than the appearance did.
