Part 110323 is the foot pedal for the Kirby Avalir Platinum. It is the pad you step on to run the vacuum, mounted at the front of the base over the switch mechanism.
Because it is operated by foot hundreds of times a year, the pedal is one of the first plastic parts on the machine to fail. Hairline cracks spread from the pivot, the action turns stiff or vague, and eventually the pedal no longer travels far enough to work the switch. Owners notice the vacuum starting only after two or three stamps, or refusing to shut off at all.
Fitting a fresh pedal takes the guesswork out of starting the machine. Unplug the Avalir Platinum first, and confirm your model, since this pedal is listed for the Platinum rather than the standard Avalir.
