Twelve-foot hose assembly for Kirby uprights, part 224814G, covering machines from the Generation 5 through the Sentria. The extra length is the point of it: twelve feet lets you do a full staircase, or reach right across a car interior, without stopping to move the machine every few minutes.
It replaces a hose that has split, and Kirby hoses tend to split invisibly - under the outer layer, near an end, where the hose bends hardest. From then on the vacuum draws its air through the hole. Tools feel weak, the machine sounds entirely normal, and no amount of unclogging changes anything.
It is listed for the Generation 5 and Generation 6, the Ultimate G, the Diamond Edition, the Sentria and Sentria II, and the Avalir, Avalir 2 and Avalir Platinum.
