The suds-o cap for the Kirby Sentria II spray gun, part 252012. It is the cap on the shampoo gun used with the Sentria II carpet shampoo system.
Small caps like this are the parts that get set down on a stair and never picked up again, or cross-threaded once too often until they stop sealing. Without a cap that seats properly, the gun will not hold pressure and shampoo weeps out of the top of the assembly instead of going through the nozzle, which is messy at best and leaves an uneven job on the carpet at worst.
This is the genuine Kirby cap for the Sentria II gun, so it threads on as the original did with no fiddling. If your shampoo system has been sitting unused for a season, check the cap and its seal before you mix up a fresh batch.
