The Kirby Sentria II straight wand, part 224012, slots in between the hose grip and your tool to add a full wand of reach - the piece you want for ceiling corners, curtain rails, the tops of door frames and the gap behind a fridge.
One thing to know before ordering: the colour is supplied as available, so the wand may not match the rest of your attachment set exactly. The fitting and the length are what stay constant.
Wands crack at the ends, where tools are pushed on and twisted off hundreds of times over the years. Once an end has split it will not grip a nozzle properly, and it leaks air at the joint that is meant to be sealed, so everything on the far end of it feels weaker than it should.
