The Avalir and Avalir 2 use their own headlight cap trim strip, and this is it: Kirby part 163514, fitting the AVALIR, AVALIR 2 and AVALIR PLATINUM.
It is a cosmetic part with a small structural job. The strip finishes the edge around the headlight cap and keeps the adjacent trim pieces seated, so once it splits or falls out you get an exposed cap edge, a rattle at the front of the machine, and neighbouring trim that starts to lift. Years of knocking into baseboards is usually all it takes.
Seat the strip fully along its channel so the line stays even end to end. Note that this is the AV/AV2 strip; the Sentria II takes a different one, so check which machine you have before ordering.
