The Lamb Ametek 117465 central vacuum motor (SKU 207) is a widely used two-stage, 120-volt Ametek original that serves a broad set of central vacuum systems. Sold factory-new — never rebuilt — it covers a long list of older part numbers, replacing the 117467, 117129, 116488-13, 116467, and 116465 motors. Housings marked 7465 or 11-7465 are this same motor.

End-of-life indicators for the 117465 include a mini breaker that keeps popping, a burnt electrical smell, pronounced blue sparking from the top of the motor, or a unit that dies and comes back on its own — expect roughly 900-1,200 hours of use. In about five percent of failures the mini breaker goes bad along with the motor, so evaluate the breaker after the motor swap. Installation involves only three bolts and the wire connections; carbon brushes (two per motor) are replaceable.
