Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Shipping and refunds

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Upgrade-grade power: the Lamb Ametek 117478 Premier central vacuum motor (SKU 201P) is a brand-new, two-stage, 110-120 volt Ametek original that fits every motor in the 117478 family, including the 117478-12. It can also replace the 117549 — and outmuscles it at 549 air watts versus 483, while standing just 0.18" taller. Motors marked 7478 or 11-7478 are the identical part.

Rated life is 900-1,200 hours. Replace when the mini breaker pops, an electrical smell surfaces, blue sparks flare from the motor top, or the motor shuts itself down and later revives — absent any click, test the relay first. Installation comes down to three bolts plus two wire connections. Carbon brushes are replaceable on the 117478 (two required per motor) for owners who prefer preventive service.
