Replace a worn 117549-12 with this brand-new Lamb Ametek 117549-12 central vacuum motor, SKU 201VF. This 110-120 volt, two-stage Ametek original is fitted in various central vacuum brands, and the "-12" suffix denotes a revised fan-blade design for improved performance. Your existing motor may be stamped simply 7549 — it is the same part, and this motor replaces the 117549-12 only.

Expect roughly 900-1,200 hours of service life. If your unit trips its mini breaker, smells electrical, throws visible blue sparks, or cuts out and restarts on its own, the motor is due. Swapping it in takes three bolts and two wire hookups. The carbon brushes on the 117549-12 can also be replaced separately (two required) to extend motor life before full failure.
