This Lamb Ametek 119953 central vacuum motor (SKU 209-1R) arrives brand new — not rebuilt — and is the single-stage, 110-120 volt Ametek original used in several central vacuum systems.

The 119953 is rated for roughly 800-900 hours of use. Signals that it has reached the end: the mini breaker keeps tripping, you notice an electrical odor, blue sparks are visible at the motor top, or the motor stops mid-job and later runs normally. Hearing no click at all usually points to the relay instead — the motor itself may still be good. Installation is three bolts and a bit of wiring, an easy task for most homeowners. The carbon motor brushes on the 119953 are replaceable as well; buy two 119953 motor brushes and service them before the motor is completely worn to get the most from this part.
