Bringing shine back to a floor that is already clean, rather than pulling dirt off one that is not, calls for a lambswool buffing pad rather than a scrub pad. This pack contains two six-inch lambswool pads along with retainer clips, part 4501029.
Lambswool conforms to small irregularities across the floor's surface instead of skating over them, which is exactly why it produces a smooth, consistent shine instead of the faint circular marks a firmer pad tends to leave behind. Reach for it between waxings to bring a dulled finish back up to gloss, or to buff away minor scuffing without cutting into the finish underneath.
Fitment covers Koblenz, Kenmore and Regina six-inch floor polishers. The retainer clips ship along with the pads because they are the small piece that tends to disappear well before the wool itself wears through. Alternate between the two pads in a pack so neither one gets pressed down into matting, and knock loose grit out of the wool between sessions so it does not get dragged across a freshly buffed finish on the next pass.
Wool that has packed down flat and stopped springing back, or that has gone hard and grey with old wax, is past its working life and will burnish unevenly from that point on. Rinse the pads out and let them dry fully before they go back in a cupboard, since wool stored damp mats together and holds odour.
