Part 009680301 is the red optional brush roller for the Lindhaus Dynamic 380e, a 0.30 mm bristle offered as an alternative to the standard black roller for this machine.
Choosing the optional red roller over the standard one is about the carpet, not the machine: denser pile and higher-traffic commercial areas can outpace what a standard roller lifts, and the thicker 0.30 mm bristle is built to reach further into the pile on each pass. It is worth moving to when pickup has dropped even though the roller currently fitted still looks intact, rather than as a default upgrade for every machine.
Bristles wear whatever the grade they started at, and once they flatten they stop lifting debris no matter how firm they were when new. A roller that has gone matted, or that is visibly bowed along its length, is past saving and is worth replacing rather than cleaning up.
