The felt base is an accessory for Lindhaus's M29R universal nozzle, swapping the nozzle's standard sole for a soft felt surface. It is built to work with the M29R nozzle as used on the Linda DP5, HEPA Healthcare, HF6, and Valzer 5, part 088760081.
Felt bases exist for one reason: to let a nozzle glide over delicate hard floors, waxed wood, marble, and similar finishes, without the risk of scratching that a harder nozzle sole can carry. Suction still lifts dust and debris through the nozzle; the felt just changes what touches the floor.
Felt wears with use, matting down and thinning over time, and a worn base stops cushioning the nozzle the way a fresh one does, raising the risk of the nozzle's own edge reaching the floor. Swap the base once it feels thin or stiff rather than waiting for a visible scratch to show it's overdue.
Confirm your machine uses the M29R nozzle before ordering, since Lindhaus fits other nozzle designs to different models in its lineup and a base sized for the M29R will not seat correctly on those.
