7186SE is the FELIX Premium lower housing in the deep Rosso red. On SEBO's FELIX drawing the lower housing occupies position 19, with a separate number for each finish, so the red shell is ordered by its own code rather than by a generic body part number. The other three at that position are 7173SE in black, 7170SE in orange and 70166SE in dark blue.
This moulding is the bottom half of the vacuum body. It encloses the motor compartment, provides the bosses the upper body screws into, and forms the surface where the machine meets the neck of the power head. That makes it a load-bearing part as much as a coloured panel: it holds the assembly square and keeps the airway sealed along its length.
Uprights collect their damage at the front and the base — kicked skirting boards, stair edges, a fall down a flight of steps. A split at a mounting boss lets the two halves of the body work against each other, and the result is a machine that buzzes at speed, loses a fraction of its pull with no bag or filter to blame, and eventually starts shedding screws. Replacing the shell puts the rigidity and the seal back in a single job. While the body is open it is worth inspecting the pre-motor filter 7012AM and the motor seal 1047 rather than closing everything up and reopening it a month later.
