ProTeam 28-Inch Machine-End Pigtail Cord, 2-Wire Backpack Vacuum

Part 105898 is the short two-wire pigtail that carries current from a ProTeam backpack machine out to the electric hose supplying the power nozzle, sized at 28 inches with a male end and a female end. Four ProTeam machines use it: the DT100, the Alpine, the Sierra, and the ProVac CN.

Because this short length absorbs the flex every time the operator pivots, it typically wears out ahead of the hose itself. The telltale sign is a power nozzle that loses power whenever the hose gets moved, or one that has quit running altogether while the machine's suction stays completely normal, which points squarely at this connector rather than at the motor or the nozzle. Any fraying near either end, or a conductor showing through the jacket, means it should be swapped out right away instead of waiting for the next scheduled visit.

Disconnect the machine from power before fitting the replacement, and route the new pigtail well clear of the harness webbing so it does not get squeezed as the operator lifts the pack onto their shoulders. Leaving a bit of slack at the connection prevents the same wear pattern from repeating in the same spot.

Once it is installed, cycle the hose connector by hand a few times before returning the machine to work, confirming the power nozzle stays live through the full range of motion the connector will see in normal use.
