Fitting the agitator on 661 and 5510 Series machines, this replacement Panasonic metal end cap (part #AMC97S-F0Z00) fits the end of the brush roll, retaining the bearing and holding the roll seated in the nozzle.
The end cap takes constant load and can wear or crack until the brush roll shifts and wobbles in its seat. A loose agitator loses carpet contact, drags the belt, and grinds the bearing. A solid metal cap keeps the roll centered and turning true.
